Michigan has a three-stage licensing process for minors:
(A Teen Must Be at Least 14 Years and 8 Months)
RESTRICTIONS: A teen can only drive with a parent, a guardian, or anyone that the parent/guardian says the teen can drive with, as long as the person is at least 21 years old or older and has a Driver's License in their own name.
(At Least 16 Years Old)
RESTRICTIONS: A teen may not drive between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM without a licensed adult over 21 years old, with a driver's license in their own name, unless driving to/from a job.
Minimum age of 14 years and 8 months
24 hours of classroom
6 hours Behind-the-Wheel
4 hours of Behind-the-Wheel observation time
Minimum of 3-week class
Written approval of parents
May drive only with a parent or designated licensed adult age 21 or older (must have a driver's license)
30 hours of the 50 hours of Behind-the-Wheel practice driving with parent, including two (2) of the required 10 hours night driving
Held a valid Level 1 license for not less than three (3) consecutive months
Complete what remains of the required 50 hours Behind-the-Wheel, including what remains of the 10 hours required night driving

May drive without supervision except from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Driving is permitted from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM only if driving to or from employment or with a parent or designated adult age 21 or older.

Minimum of 6 months at Level 2
12 consecutive months of violation/crash-free driving at Level 1/Level 2 prior application for Level 3 license
Full driving privileges with no restrictions
Passengers are members of the driver's immediate family, or
Travel is to or from school or a school-sanctioned event. In addition, the nighttime restriction has been extended to 10:00 PM from the original midnight starting time. The new nighttime restriction is from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM unless driving to or from employment.
Parents, we encourage you to continue to monitor your teen's driving. Remember, they are novice (new) drivers! INEXPERIENCE accounts for many of the collisions that teens are involved in. Insist that your teen:
Always wear safety belts, and insist that all passengers do the same.
Always obey ALL traffic laws.
Maintain a mature attitude while driving.
Stay alert! Expect that other drivers will sometimes do the wrong thing, so staying alert will help them to adjust to whatever driving situation that they may encounter.
24 Hours Classroom Instruction Hours (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM)

State Required Knowledge Test (80 Questions)

We offer private driving lessons! Our Adult Packages start at $280.00 (Five, one (1) hour lessons) or $60.00 per hour with minimum of 2 hours (two days). Adults must have a Temporary Permit, which is issued by the Secretary of State Office, before driving instruction can begin.
